Jerseys sell at a fast rate that the profit that comes from it can sustain the operational expenditure that the team incurs. Aside from owning the sport shirt of their favourite player, fans would also get autographed memorabilia, team shirts, caps and even bags.
To make the money flow all year round, sports teams sell items that are fitting for various seasons like coats for winter and swimwear for summer. To cater to their young consumers, sports teams also sell stuffed toys that bear the team's logo and cards that they can share with their friends. The stronger and better the fan base of a team, the higher the income from corporate products.
Also, music companies sell merchandise that bear the names, logos and faces of their artists aside from album itself. Rather, they increase their cash flow by releasing magazines or videos that gives the ultimate fan experience. The video collection can contain never before seen footages, official music clips with commentary and all-access interviews if the musician is on tour.
Aside from these items, music companies also sell trademark paraphernalia of their artists and even dolls. When these are offered for sale, whether on storeroom shelves or online, the loyal fans will not think twice to buy. Indeed, the corporate products that sports franchises and music companies sell drive their business to greater heights. However, the profit from these items is endangered when the group performs poorly or when the artist gets implicated in a scandal.
